Programs Available in Alberta

Our Alberta programs serve diverse urban, rural, and remote communities through learner-centered, trauma-informed, and inclusive approaches that reflect the unique realities of each region. Services are highly accessible to children and adults wishing to strengthen reading, writing, math, soft skills, and digital skills. We offer summer camps in 20+ Indigenous communities, school reading support, 1:1 online and in-person tutoring, and reading circles.

In 2025, our Alberta programs supported 4,885 learners, distributed 6,544 books, engaged 148 volunteers, and delivered 23 Summer Literacy Camps.

Key community partners include school divisions, friendship societies, public libraries, newcomer agencies, and 20+ Indigenous communities.

Programs Available in Manitoba

In Manitoba, we provide free, accessible learning opportunities designed to build literacy skills and confidence while promoting a love of reading. Each program is developed in close collaboration with community partners, and is often run by local community members, to ensure programming is meaningful, culturally rooted, and responsive to learners’ needs.

Our programs support children, youth, adults, and families across Winnipeg, Selkirk, Brandon, and First Nation communities across the province. Local partners include regional public schools, newcomer settlement agencies, public libraries, and non-profit organizations.

Programs Available in Saskatchewan

Active in Saskatchewan since 1906, our community-led programming is designed to promote a love of learning while integrating and celebrating Indigenous knowledge, language, and traditions. We design, deliver, and support a variety of literacy programs, both online and in-person, to meet learners where they are.

We collaborate closely across Saskatoon, and multiple First Nation communities. Key partners include local schools, newcomer settlement agencies, public libraries, and online networks.
