Community-Driven Learning Across the North
United for Literacy has a long history of collaborating with communities across Northern Canada to make literacy learning more accessible to people of all ages. We believe that every workplace, every team, and every individual have the right to the foundational literacies needed to succeed, adapt, and thrive. Our services are flexible and learner-centered, offered both face-to-face and digitally to meet the unique needs of children, youth, and adults.

Our approach
We work in partnership with communities where staff, volunteers, and interns collaborate with local organizations to respond directly to community requests. By building and supporting community-based literacy programs, we strengthen local literacy services and expand resources, skills, and local support systems to build long-term community capacity.
